New DEAN appointed in FBS

The Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka, is pleased to announce that Prof. Al-Amin, Department of Accounting, University of Dhaka, has been appointed as the Dean (Acting) of the Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka. On September 3, 2026, a formal handover of the office of the Dean took place at the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Business Studies. Prof. Dr. Mahmood Osman Imam, the outgoing Dean, formally handed over the responsibilities of the deanship to Prof. Al-Amin.

The Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka, is pleased to announce that Prof. Al-Amin, Department of Accounting, University of Dhaka, has been appointed as the Dean (Acting) of the Faculty of Business Studies, University of Dhaka.
On September 3, 2026, a formal handover of the office of the Dean took place at the Dean’s Office of the Faculty of Business Studies. Prof. Dr. Mahmood Osman Imam, the outgoing Dean, formally handed over the responsibilities of the deanship to Prof. Al-Amin.

The occasion was graced by the presence of the respected Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) and the Treasurer of the University of Dhaka, along with the Proctor and members of the Proctorial Team, Provosts of different halls, Deans of different faculties, and Chairpersons of various departments of the University. The event was also attended by Vice-Chancellors and Treasurers of different universities, retired senior faculty members and distinguished faculty members from different departments of the University.

The Faculty of Business Studies warmly congratulates Prof. Al-Amin on his appointment as Dean (Acting). We wish him every success in his new responsibility and are confident that, under his able leadership, the Faculty will continue to advance its academic excellence, research, and institutional development.

The Faculty also expresses its sincere gratitude to Prof. Dr. Mahmood Osman Imam for his dedicated service and valuable leadership as Dean. His contributions to the Faculty will remain deeply appreciated, and we wish him continued success in all his future endeavors.
